The Saltire (St Andrew's Cross) is a white diagonal cross on blue. Dating to the 9th century, it may be the oldest flag in continuous use in the world after the Dannebrog.
Scotland uses St. Andrew's Cross (the saltire) as its national flag. The white cross on blue represents St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland. One of the oldest national flags still in use.
