The Sultanate of Egypt flag, a green and white design used 1914-1922.
The Sultanate of Egypt (1914–1922) was declared by the British to formally sever Egypt's last ties with the Ottoman Empire during WWI. Sultan Hussein Kamel was installed by the British to replace the Ottoman-aligned Khedive Abbas II.
