The flag of Francoist Spain (1945–1977) was the red-yellow-red bicolour with the Francoist coat of arms — the eagle of St John holding the yoke and arrows of the Catholic Monarchs. Used during Francisco Franco's dictatorship, this flag combined traditional Spanish colours with symbols of the authoritarian regime.
The Francoist flag (1936–1975) represented Spain under Franco's authoritarian rule. The eagle represented Francoist ideology and fascism. Spain transitioned to democracy after Franco's death.
